LORE

Laura Reed and Laur Joamets are Lore, a genre-bending Nashville duo mixing elements of metal, grunge, blues, and rock into raw, electric Americana anthems. Pairing Reed’s gruff, bluesy alto wail with Joamets’s effortlessly agile guitar, Lore’s satisfying fusion feels completely attuned to the current moment: part smooth sailing, part careening chaos.

South African native Reed started songwriting as a street musician, later collaborating with funk icons George Clinton and Karl Denson before launching her solo career. In 2019 while recording a solo project at Sputnik Sound, she met Joamets, a classically trained Estonian guitarist who’d toured with Sturgill Simpson and Drivin N Cryin and was recording an instrumental record. The pair formed a natural partnership based on a shared love for roots, blues, and gritty rock’n’roll. By 2020, they’d combined their separate projects into one.

Lore’s soulful mid-tempo debut single “Surrender” premiered on Rolling Stone in October 2020, followed by the buoyant, anarchic “Gifts of Destruction and Disorder” in December. In October 2021 they released “I Walk Alone,” a driving, intimate track evoking the rough-but-delicate sound of Karen Dalton, and in November dropped “Woven,” a bracing psychedelic-grunge tune with howling vocals and revolving guitar riffs. Lore’s debut album, co-produced by the band with Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton) and Dave Schools (Widespread Panic, Hard Working Americans), released November 2022.

Lowfye 50 is a Nashville based rock band storming the industry hot with ground breaking sound and deliverance. Each member being virtuosic with unique backgrounds makes for a perfect blend of chaos and soothe. The hard hitting band was produced and discovered by the rock industry’s very own guitarist Noah Henson. Alongside support from other names, the band tends to ride their own wave and flood the rock and metal world with their message. There first official single “Stuck In The Middle” is slated to be released in the new year of 2023 along with there first music video. This is a group prodigy that no one will see coming.

Hollow Head

Hollow Head.jpeg

Hollow Head is a blooming project out of Nashville, TN that has established a strong, welcoming presence among the local university music scene. After meeting at Belmont in the fall of 2021, guitarist/singer Jack Hodde, drummer Sam Keller, guitarist/singer Jack Lare and bassist/singer Aidan Hearn decided to unite their musical talents into a unique project that would showcase their wide range of influences - that project is Hollow Head.

The band combines genre influences from garage rock, bedroom pop, house/groove and alternative indie, and wraps them neatly in layers of lush psychedelia and studio wizardry. Hollow Head’s sound is not defined simply by genre, but rather by the amalgamation of influences and unique personalities that shape their music into something truly inimitable.

Their first release, an A-side/B-side single recorded live in-studio, displays their dynamic chemistry and spontaneity as a performing group and captures the essence of Hollow Head’s roots. Their upcoming single, “Viper,” is the band’s first forray into the world of studio and production magic, marking an exciting new chapter in the band’s future as they shift their main focus from live performances to studio endeavors. The future of Hollow Head looks electrifyingly bright, and it’s open invitation to grab onto this conga line community and join the ride (or shimmy, more accurately…)
