The Darkness

Four top ten albums, two hundred million streams on Spotify, five top ten singles, numerous industry awards, and over three million concert tickets sold around the world… with a back catalogue overflowing with sonic gold and a live reputation that most bands can only dream of attaining, The Darkness have established themselves as one of the most loved and important British rock bands of our time.
They have toured with giants including Queen, Guns’n’Roses, Lady Gaga, Black Sabbath, Def Leopard, KISS and Ed Sheeran and their new album, Motorheart, is packed with the kind of joyous bombast that has carved their place in rock and roll history.
Justin Hawkins comments on the tour announcement: “You there, in the Americas - hear me, and hear me well: The Darkness know your pain, know that you have cried yourselves to sleep every night, bereft of quality English rock music. Well, desist from weeping and pull up your fully grown adult pants - salvation is upon you! As doctors, we UNDERSTAND the healing power of rock music and we have instructed our minions to make arrangements for us to visit your moderately distant shores. The cryogenically sealed Tupperware box of roadies has been set to “Thor” and the mighty winged chariot has been dusted off. Remember - one lick of Darkness sweat and you will be cured - you will literally walk again, without Covid or anything! But what price freedom and eternal life, I hear you ask? To you sir, about thirty bucks (plus local taxes and booking fee). Now get the fuck in!”
Mark Daly
Hailing from Cork, Ireland, Mark Daly is a powerful singer/songwriter with a hard rock pedigree. In a career that has seen him rub shoulders with some of the best artists in the music industry, Daly is poised for bigger things. His sound has been described as “…raw, energetic rock music that has influences from classic rock bands but also appreciates a modern rock sound with a blend of both” (Metal Temple).
Daly, who is known for his explosive live shows, has had the pleasure of touring with some of the great rock artists of our time including Ritchie Kotzen, Geoff Tate (Queensryche), Candlebox, and Mr. Big. “I love absolutely everything about being on the road – meeting so many incredible people each night, getting lost in the music on stage. It’s pure magic. Our tours not only helped us grow as musicians but also solidified our presence in the US rock music scene.”
After building an impressive tour following, it was during a Geoff Tate show where Mark met the owners of One Opportunity Records. When they saw Mark perform, they were blown away by his music and his energy. They immediately signed Mark to the label to fully back him and take his career to the next level.
Since his signing, Daly has released an impressive amount of music in short period of time; two EP’s (Nothing to Lose, Drop Dead) and the genre-bending Devil’s Arm LP. The latter was recorded at the famed Sonic Ranch Studios with Grammy-nominated producer Brian Virtue (Jane’s Addiction, Audioslave, 30 Seconds to Mars). “Working with Brian at Sonic Ranch has been the best recording experience that I've had in my music career to date. Brian completely understood the band's sound and knew exactly how to get the very best out of us and capture our raw and energetic style of music while letting us remain as creative as possible as a band.”
In 2025 Daly will be releasing some of his best music yet. “My songwriting over the last few years has matured and I believe that I write more honestly and from the heart now while still maintaining the same raw songwriting style that I started off with.” We can expect more of what has been described as songs “well-crafted classic rock elements with earworm melodies” (Indie Buddie).
As the world awaits his latest work, Mark Daly stands poised to transform his past successes into something even more remarkable. With his fiery, swagger-filled tunes and a sound that resonates like no other, Mark is ready to rock the world, one electrifying performance at a time.
