What started as an avenue for Brownstein, with the support of his closest musician friends, to showcase a collection of songs he had written while briefly separated from The Disco Biscuits in 2000, soon morphed into what many have called "the best band that doesn't exist!" The band originally featured Joe Russo on drums, and has long been known for playing explosive versions of Brownstein's songs.
These days, armed with one of the best drummers in the Jamtronica world, Electron has began to expand their influence across the country. What was once the best kept secret in the Jamband world has begun to establish themselves as a mainstay at some of the biggest festivals in the USA.
Sweeping Views
Born from the chaos of learning drum and bass on belt drives in '96 to playing over 100 shows a year from 2010-2013, Sweeping Views has risen from the ashes of his own destruction. Emerging from said fire as an extremely versatile DJ, able to play whatever style of music the room deems necessary. In addition to executive producing a little under half of all the programming on JEMP Radio, Sweeping Views has curated art shows, live screenings, and even books for both artists and patrons alike. In his uncanny ability to read a room and improvise at the same time, SV offers a dancefloor experience that feels tailor-made down to the individual guest, for crowds the likes of Bonnaroo and Electric Forest, both of which he has played. In short, no one reads a room and executes a shared vision like Sweeping Views.
