Retrograded

Drawing inspiration from The 1975, The Japanese House, Taylor Swift, Bleachers, Skrillex, and Harry Styles, 24-year-old California-born musician and producer, Retrograded aka Jackson Klarsfeld, has established a unique sound you can’t help but dance to, with an emphasis on crafting meaningful lyrics akin to that of indie and singer-songwriter genres. Following the success of his 2020 album, Red Lights at Midnight“Hi I Miss You” Retrograded has garnered over 1.6M total streams on Spotify alone. What started out as a solo project has evolved into a full band that has played several shows across NYC. In late 2022, Retrograded was handpicked to perform at the first-ever Music You’re Missing #UPNEXTFEST, hosted by the acclaimed podcast in Cambridge, MA and was welcomed back to play their first ever Bedroom Pop Party at Big Night Live in 2023. Earning rave reviews from the likes of Noisetrend, For the Punks, A1234, and more, all eyes are on Retrograded as he quickly cements himself as an NYC-based genre-bending artist.

The Morning Herald

Stomping out of Philadelphia in 2016, The Morning Herald combine early 2000’s indie sleaze, heart-on-your-sleeve rock, and pulsing bedroom synth into an original and anthemic new sound. The band cut their teeth performing frat basements and bars while studying at Villanova University, before moving to Boston’s Back Bay to settle-in post-grad and hone their songwriting. In 2021, they released their debut studio album Rounder, a conceptual love letter to nights out on the town while the world was still largely in lockdown. Two years later, the band has returned with their follow-up LP, Goldstar, a breakup album in its truest sense, made full with cutting weirdo pop and danceable indie grooves. Working with Mark Watter of Headroom Studios (Mt. Joy, Alex G), the band has created an album that marries the sleek production of Tame Impala with the vocal prowess of Arctic Monkeys and the bold ambition of Arcade Fire.
