Bad Leather

Bad Leather is the high-energy new school meets old school disco project from Philly-based internationally-known drummer Joe Vela. Joe transverses classic disco, funk, nu-disco, electronica, house, and hip-hop in a full-body journey with one goal: make it impossible not to dance.

This project has some serious momentum, having sold out the last three headline plays, in addition to direct-supporting Chromeo, Bob Moses, The Magician, and The Comet Is Coming, plus performing at many festivals, most notably, the Bonnaroo VIP Tent, Elements Festival, and Envision Festival in Costa Rica. Joe is also the founder of Philly's SENSORiUM, which has hosted more than 2,000 attendees for a city music & arts festival.
