The Wailers

The Wailers are a rare breed of musicians who have earned their place in the annals of music history. Their culture-defining music, embodying the spirit of the 70s reggae movement, has left an indelible mark on the industry.

Experience the magic of their timeless classics and incredible cuts from Bob Marley’s vast repertoire in a set that is truly unforgettable. Under the guidance of Aston Barrett Jr, son of the legendary “Familyman”, The Wailers continue to preserve the legacy of their iconic sound.

Reggae Thunder

Members of legendary Philly bands Spiritual Thunder, MOKA SOUL, San Noche, RK$TDY and Philly Gumbo, among very many other projects, have joined forces via their shared love of Reggae music to form Reggae Thunder.

Singer Pauline Houston and guitarist Robb McCall have been mainstays on the Philly music scene for over two decades, with multi-faceted projects such as Spiritual Thunder, MOKA SOUL, Thunderbird! and Robb Fire. Pauline and Robb are also children’s educators, conducting music and art programs throughout the Tri-State area.

Bert Harris is a highly-respected bassist and member of Philly Gumbo as well as Ska-Reggae band RK$TDY, who has played with practically everyone in every style from Jazz to Funk to Blues and yes, lots of Reggae.

In addition to performing with Reggae Thunder, drummer Wesley Rast can currently be found performing with Francis Mbappe and FM Tribe, as well as San Noche, the roots reggae ensemble Wesley founded in 2017, who performs regularly in Philadelphia and the tri-state area.

Kirk Abernathy has been playing and teaching keyboards and guitar for over 20 years. He has shared the stage with Dexter Wansel, Jerry Butler, the Delfonics and with legendary reggae performers Black Uhuru and Yellowman.

Reggae Thunder has been delighting audiences since 2016 with high energy shows of their unique mix of reggae classics, reggae versions of classic rock songs and originals.
