Dexter and The Moonrocks

Hailing from Abilene, Texas, Dexter and The Moonrocks deliver a unique Southern Alternative fusion lovingly dubbed “Western Space Grunge” by their fans. The band released their first single “Couch” in August of 2021, taking the internet by storm. After massive success with the hit single, the band released their self-titled EP featuring a number of hits like “Where I Steer” or “Behave” and received overwhelmingly positive responses. Lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist James Tuffs, lead guitarist/vocal harmonizer Ryan Anderson, bassist Ty Anderson, and drummer/vocal harmonizer Fox, draw on their favorite elements of bands like Nirvana, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, and Whiskey Myers in order to create the unique sound that can only be described as “Western Space Grunge”.

Mitchell Ferguson

Mitchell Ferguson doesn’t fit into one box. With influences ranging from Foo Fighters to Willie Nelson and Stephen Sondheim to Lil Wayne, Mitchell’s music has elements of many genres. Raised in Dallas, TX, Mitchell got his start in music singing in church choirs and musicals that his father wrote. He then attended college for Acting. After graduating and performing in and writing music for several productions throughout the U.S., Mitchell moved back to Texas to give his hand at working as a singer/songwriter full time. This quickly found him playing 250+ shows a year. Splitting time in between the Dallas/Fort Worth scene and being on the road, he’s shared the stage with dozens of notable acts in the Texas Country/Rock scene. These experiences led him to meet Producer Taylor Kimball (Koe Wetzel, Austin Meade, Read Southall Band, Giovannie & The Hired Guns, Kody West). Kimball began his independent label Sour Sonics, and offered Ferguson a record deal. Mitchell’s label debut, “F.Y.S.” was released Aug. 26th, 2022.

Flycatcher

Forming in New Brunswick in the Fall of 2016, Flycatcher began crafting dynamic songs centered around crushing swells of jagged guitar-hooks, propulsive drumming, and deftly emotive lyrics. Following a period of extensive gigging and writing through 2018, the band teamed up with Kyle Pulley of Thin Lips to produce the high-energy, kaleidoscopic textures of their debut album, Other Things.

Shortly after the release, the band joined Joe Webster at PonderRosa Studios to begin work on their follow-up record. Released in Summer 2019, the driving, angular melancholy of ‘Songs for Strangers’ saw Flycatcher and develop their song-craft through cohesive arrangements, vulnerable, immersive lyrics.

After a sold-out show at the Asbury Park Brewery and a cross-country tour promoting the release, the band took a short hiatus, but they are back and performing non-stop.
