Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra

The Williamsburg Salsa Orchestra is a thrilling 11-member salsa group which plays dynamic, dancefloor-filling arrangements of indie, alternative, and popular songs that we love.   This is innovative, astonishing salsa with a fresh, entirely original sound for today’s modern audience.

Bandleader and Percussionist Gianni Mano has led the WSO through two hit albums and almost 10 years of arrangements and live performances throughout the United States, establishing the WSO as a groundbreaking force in the worldwide salsa scene.

Now, we are proud to introduce WSO 2.0 with a new repertoire and a new singer direct from San Sebastián, Puerto Rico.

Presenting the new voice of the WSO: Mikaela Curet, born and raised en “La Isla del Encanto”.   When she was little she used to run away from home to visit neighbors, turn on the radio and start singing the music of El Gran Combo, Frankie Ruiz, Andres Jimenez, Luis Fonsi, Tommy Torres, Olga Tañon and many more.

With a degree in Music Education from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico, and graduate degree from The New School in NYC, Mikaela brings her incredible skill, passion, and deep knowledge of salsa to WSO 2.0.

Join us for a night of musical surprises and irresistible rhythms from Cuba, Puerto Rico and Nueva York!
