Sunrisa Disco was created circa. 2019 by a collective of NYC-based female DJs that worked at Rough Trade. They host a monthly radio show on Soho Radio alongside a roster of presenters including the likes of DJ Norman Jay MBE, Coldcut and Ninja Tune’s Jon More, Stuart Baker of Soul Jazz Records, Metronomy's Anna Prior, and many more.
The collective found their footing in the New York City nightlife through a multitude of DJ sets all across the city from TV Eye to Soho Grand. Nodded by Time Out NY as one of the best rooftop parties during its run at The Sultan Room, it has now found a home at Brooklyn Bowl where it holds a monthly late night party called Sunrisa Shake.
