Rocky and The Pressers

Rocky and The Pressers are a Bronx-based band known for their lush vocal arrangements and a rhythmically forward sound that draws from reggae and broader island musics.  After touring their debut album (Dance at the Playhouse, 2013) throughout the north-east for a number of years, they went on an indefinite hiatus while members pursued other projects, meanwhile incubating new Pressers material.  Shortly after reforming, they played a sold-out show supporting Steel Pulse at BK Bowl in January of 2019, and are now excited to return to the stage as a trio, playing brand new material, which is being written and recorded currently for a spring 2020 release.

Brother Jerome

Brother Jerome is a powerhouse Reggae outfit from Northern New Jersey that infuses Soul, Rock and Latin influences with a socially conscious intention to bring people together through healing and mindful music. The group was formed by Singer-Songwriter Ryan Bria (Guitar/Vocals) when the singer realized the fluidity of expression that the Influence of Reggae and Soul brought to his writing both musically and lyrically. In early years the group toured nationally as far west as New Orleans, and began codifying their sound and live performances. After releasing their debut album “Progress” in 2018 which was praised as “antidote for a bad mood” and “a beacon for societal change” by AXS and having singles debuted by Rootfire and Top Shelf Reggae, the group spent the next year refining their sound through extensive touring in the northeast supporting titans of Reggae such as Sublime with Rome, Steel Pulse, Ziggy Marley, SOJA, Morgan Heritage and many more. All the while the group continued to evolve, recruiting New Jersey/New York Reggae Veterans Ramsey Norman on Drums/Vocals and Steve Capecci on Bass (who’s credits include artists such as Larry MacDonald, Pilfers,Full Watts Band and Kiwi). The combined chemistry amongst the current lineup illuminates their live performances and new material which are overflowing with striking musical prowess. Most recently, while putting together their second full length album, Brother Jerome was awarded the “Best Emerging Artist Award” at the 2019 Richmond International Film and Music Festival strengthening the stellar momentum the band has already established. The group continues to inspire audiences up and down the east coast with their powerful lyrics and energizing live performances.
