You don’t know Jai Wolf like you think you do. After hundreds of millions of streams on indie-dance anthems like “Indian Summer” and “Starlight,” blockbuster festival sets from Indio to India, and co-signs from the likes of Skrillex and ODESZA, it’s clear from the opening notes of Jai Wolf’s long-awaited debut album The Cure to Loneliness that he sees the expectations around his name as an opportunity to challenge convention.

The Cure to Loneliness finds Jai Wolf completing his evolution from upstart bedroom remixer to future bass DJ to builder of lush musical worlds. While still very much dancefloor-focused, some tracks on the LP conjure the angular riffage of The Strokes and Phoenix, weave melodies through the sugary happysad of M83 and CHVRCHES, or build up walls of sound like Explosions in the Sky — all while maintaining the melodious polish and evocative groove to which fans have grown so close. 

“In my heart, this album is me,” says Jai Wolf. “From the sounds to the lyrics, it’s everything that I’ve always wanted to do.” Taking a different approach to many of his contemporaries under the wing of indie darling label Mom+Pop (Courtney Barnett, Flume, Jagwar Ma, Alina Baraz), Jai Wolf largely eschewed singles over the course of two years to patiently craft The Cure to Loneliness. The result is a thoughtfully framed, confidently expressed musical vision that will tug at heartstrings in 2019 and long beyond.

Devault

Devault is nothing short of impressive…

What started as a creative hobby in the calm scenes of Orange County soon became a personal quest to form something bigger than a unique venture — a modern grunge-esque landscape that takes integral instrumentation with an out of the box like sound design and casts visuals that would be reminiscent of an earlier time where rawness and vulnerability was glorified. The desire to create music and becoming an electronic artist has always been a hidden pulse in his life, whether it stemmed from his early obsessions over Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan and A$AP Rocky, or analyzing the blend of fashion, film, and music altogether. It's no longer a search for genre, but rather an evolving sound, appreciating the trials of young adulthood at age 21 and letting him and his audience grow into something beyond a young man and his music.

The journey of Devault is fairly new, but 2017 has sped up his emergence into the scene, already becoming the hottest ticket for official redos of songs as well as garnering well over 10 million total streams on Spotify. This year alone, Devault has been tapped for official remixes with Rihanna, AlunaGeorge, and Kehlani, amassing millions of plays on all platforms and being a crucial part for Rihanna's "Sex With Me" #1 spot on the Billboard Dance charts.

"Everything is so accessible now that it has become quite unique to get my point across outside of just my music catalogue," he notes. "I'm able to showcase various arts to my audience beyond sound that can convey my thoughts and past emotions. The world I'm creating is vast but specific. Dark emotion and vibrant energy in perfect sequence, and as time presses forward, it will only become more narrow and focused."

With a large demand for new material and talks of a grand live presence, Devault is showing signs of the modern new wave splash on the industry that is taking hold. His current mid-tempo electronica flare has caught ears and leaves the next chapter as exciting as the first.

MYRNE

Known for his intersections in pop, and high-energy electronica, MYRNE began his journey in 2015 with the release of his 'Softsins' EP on dance music behemoth Mad Decent, inaugurating himself as the first Asian artist on their roster. His experiences in isolation growing up in Singapore, coupled with his classical training, has granted him a unique outlook on electronic music - with support from the likes of Porter Robinson, The Chainsmokers, and Martin Garrix as a testament to that fact.

An artist of varied influences ranging from Erol Alkan to Rustie, his musical versatility shines through his collaborations, remixes, and writing credits. In 2017, he released the seminal electronic-indie LP “B4NGER PROJECT” with longtime collaborator Gentle Bones on Universal Music, followed by co-production work on RL Grime's “I Wanna Know” in 2018 - with the latter going on to rack up over 30,000,000 streams on Spotify alone. Perpetually straddling the spheres of high-octane records and lush soundtracks, MYRNE's softer sensibilities shine through on official remix work for Lauv's "There's No Way", Jai Wolf's "Lost" and Martin Garrix’s “Ocean”. Solo work has not slowed either, with 2019 marking the debut of his first solo LP In Search of Solitude on Ultra Music.

Despite his secluded home base, MYRNE has an impressive history of live shows to his name. His frenetic interweaving of emotion and energy has garnered an international audience of both fans and artists alike, ranging from Miami to Mongolia; in 2018, MYRNE was the first Singaporean act to play at acclaimed dance festivals Ultra Miami and Tomorrowland. Since then, he has played to thousands in his home circuit in Southeast Asia, China, and the United States - including sets at Hard Summer, MyLifeEveryday USA, and a support run with Manila Killa. 

His debut full length album In Search of Solitude weaved dance-electronica instrumentals with stadium-size vocal performances, to glowing reviews by Mixmag, CULTR, and more. The record achieved 1,000,000 streams within its first week of release.
