Artist Info

WALRUS is a NYC-based jam band that specializes in the music of The Beatles. Get ready for a high-energy set of your favorite songs, played like you’ve never heard them before. Creative new approaches and iconic arrangements come together for a memorable live experience that will revive your love for these classic songs. In the tradition of bands like The Grateful Dead and Phish, each WALRUS show is a unique experience. Though the band was only established in October 2021, WALRUS quickly started their weekly
residency, Magical Mystery Jam, at The Delancey in Manhattan. The residency lasted from November 2021 to May 2022, during which time WALRUS developed a large repertoire and performed Abbey Road, Sgt. Pepper, Let It Be / Get Back Sessions and Revolver in full. WALRUS is Chris Mackin (Guitar/Vocals), Brad Michalakis (Bass/Vocals), Satoko Mori
(Keyboard/Vocals), Josh Santiago (Guitar/Vocals) & Dan Shein (Drums). The members of WALRUS have all previously performed together in Loop Troupe Family Band, an original funk jam band. WALRUS is presented by NY production company Loop Troupe, which has produced hundreds of live events in NYC since 2016.

Near Dead Experience

Near Dead Experience brings a fresh and dynamic energy to the Grateful Dead catalog. Guitarist Ben Uniacke, singer / guitarist Phil Radiotes and drummer Steve Remp met online, discussing the Dead on the band's Reddit page. Realizing they were all NYC locals, they started playing together and fusing their musical talents through the Grateful Dead canon. Bassist James Denatale and singer / keyboardist / violinist Jane Choi rounded out the sound. They began recording covers for Dead Covers Project, which landed them on the front page of and got them a rare follow from the official Grateful Dead instagram. The band also plays Phil's repertoire of jammy, original indie music which can be found at
