Turiya Electric

Turiya Electric is a musical project led by the New York City based Australian/Spanish musician CisXo and inspired by the great Alice Coltrane. The project aims to inspire love, unity, and spiritual awakening through music. Turiya Electric is formed by an eclectic mix of talented New York based touring artists from around the world. The experimental music draws from Afrofunk, Afrobeat, Jazz, Flamenco, and Blues and merges these sounds over a canvas of driving Afro-latin rhythms.

GKCB released a follow up to Upscale Madhouse in October 2018. The full length album features John Scofield, Marc Broussard, Grace Weber, Nate Smith, Conrad Sewell, Donny McCaslin, Brendan Fletcher, Sonny Step, James Genus, Elliott Skinner, Luques Curtis, Carolyn Leonhart, Kevin Hays, Donald Edwards, Matt Powell, Willard Dyson, Vivian Sessoms, Roslyn McClure, Mike Rodriguez, Adrian Harpham, Nathan Peck, Kate Kay Es, Bryan Reeder, Seamus Blake, Itai Kriss Music, Alex Sipiagin, Bruce Flowers, Liam Budge, Mike Stephenson and David Kahne.

Gideon King & City Blog continue their remarkable sonic evolution with ‘Love Knot,’ a dazzling, three-song EP released on May 29th, 2020.  Hinting at everything from Seal and Lianne La Havas to Stevie Wonder and Steely Dan, the collection is both sophisticated and accessible, weaving its way through unexpected changes with lush arrangements and addictive hooks that blur the lines between jazz, rock, folk, and soul.
After releasing a series of well received singles, the band continues to write/record and play locally in NYC.  Their first single, Splinters, off their new EP is out March 3rd.
