Born Allah McCall as the son of late Wu-Tang Clan icon Ol' Dirty Bastard, he instinctively embraced music. In between listening to everyone from A Tribe Called Quest to Drake and Mac Miller, he absorbed energy from his surroundings. Growing up in Brooklyn, the neighborhood and its streets proved enlightening as he drew inspiriation from fellow poets and the city itself. "Brooklyn helped me see where I wanted to be," he explains. "My creative process came out of learning how to express myself."
