Octave Cat
Octave Cat is a trio of Eli Winderman (Dopapod - keyboards), Jesse Miller (Lotus – bass/modular synth) and Charlie Patierno (drums). The music ranges from stripped down jazz-grooves to analog synth dance music. Influences such as Herbie Hancock jazz-funk and Four Tet electronica can be heard. Octave Cat pushes the jazz and jam boundaries by incorporating elements of electronica and in doing so they have carved out their own unique musical space.
Kyle Sparkman
During a lightning storm in Philadelphia—with Parliament-Funkadelic blasting in the background—Kyle Sparkman was thrust into this world with a raging-red bushel of hair and a guitar in his hand. His live show – energetic. His lyrics – prophetic. His fashion sense – pathetic.
Once described as “Mac Demarco, John Frusciante, Tom Misch, and some disco rolled in one”, Sparkman's brand of rock runs the gamut from jazz-funk to alt rock with a common core of guitar-driven grooves and catchy hooks. After 8 singles and 1 million streams across his catalog of work, Sparkman released his debut album Irrational Actors in 2022 via Alpha Pup Records and is working on a follow-up EP slated for a late 2023 release.
