Sharing Excess is one of the nation?s leading food rescue organizations that partners with wholesalers, retailers, and farmers to capture and redistribute surplus food to a vast network of food banks and hunger-relief organizations. We rescue over 100M+ pounds of fresh food annually, feeding more than ten million people nationwide. Every dollar donated allows Sharing Excess to distribute enough food to feed 12 people. North Brooklyn Parks Alliance is a full-scale public realm conservancy that operates in parks, plazas, and open streets throughout Greenpoint and Williamsburg. The organization works across city agencies and land jurisdictions to deliver comprehensive, city-aligned improvements that merge maintenance, horticulture, sustainability, and community engagement. Strangers Stopping Strangers

Strangers Stopping Strangers bring a fresh, youthful energy to the music of the Grateful Dead, capturing the soul and excitement of the legendary live shows while infusing their own fun-loving and free-spirited spin on the music.
Born in Hoboken, NJ, the band draws inspiration from their folk and bluegrass roots — much like the early influences of the Dead — while exploring levels of psychedelic improvisation seemingly as one brain, one unit. Together, they unite both seasoned DeadHeads and a new generation of fans, taking them on a musical journey through the timeless and beloved catalogue. As of late, Strangers has pushed traditional concert boundaries by being the first live band to play inside the Liberty Science Center Planetarium, the largest of its kind in the Western Hemisphere. The fully immersive, 360 degree audio/visual experience sold out in 3 days and received coverage from Fox 5 NY.
With a detailed focus on vocal harmonies and an open-minded approach to instrumental experimentation, Strangers Stopping Strangers has quickly become one of the most exciting Grateful Dead cover bands on the scene.
Come check out a show and see for yourself — don’t be a Stranger <3
