Artist Info

Dark Streets

Dark Streets is an NYC-based band that draws its roots from the music of Shane MacGowan and The Pogues. The band has been known to also throw in some unexpected surprises, including great tunes from the likes of Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Belle and Sebastian, Neutral Milk Hotel, Dead Milkmen, Fabrizio De André and Bob Dylan. They also have a few spirited original tunes, as well as a collection of traditional Irish standards, if requested. As veterans of Irish rock and punk music, (featuring two former members of The Kissers), Dark Streets take a refreshing stab at a classic repertoire of timeless music. No strangers to the NYC music scene, its members have been in numerous local bands, such as Half Step, The Last Nites, and The Gentleman Brawlers.
