Beck performed on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien on January 22, 2010 Beck appeared on The Tonight Show for Conan O'Brien's last show and rocked the stage as a backup guitarist for hilarious actor and comedian Will Ferrell. Ferrell performed his dramatized version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird" alongside ZZ Top guitarist Billy Gibbons, Ben Harper, and O'Brien himself on guitar. Watch if you want to laugh out loud! Beck signed to Capitol Records and released his highly anticipated album, Morning Phase In October 2013, Beck signed to Capitol Records, releasing the highly anticipated twelfth studio album Morning Phase in February 2014. Morning Phase is said to be a "companion piece" to Beck's 2002 album Sea Change. A Killer Year of Awards for Beck Way to go Beck! After the release of Morning Phase, the album received critical acclaim and was nominated for five awards at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards, held on February 18th, 2015. Of the five nominations, Beck won three, including Album of the Year, Best Engineered Album Non-Classical, and Best Rock Album. Considering that he hadn't won a grammy for fifteen years, winning three that night was definitely a triumph! 463034826_1 5. Beck and Chris Martin collab at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards At the same awards ceremony where Beck won his three grammy awards, he also collaborated with Chris Martin to perform one of his new songs. Introduced by David Grohl, from the Foo Fighters, Beck and Chris Martin were invited onstage to sing “Heart Is a Drum,” the fourth single off of Morning Phase. On March 1st, 2014, Beck was the musical guest on SNL, hosted by Jim Parsons of "The Big Bang Theory." Beck Headlines the Boston Calling Music Festival In May 2014, Beck joined other big acts including My Morning Jacket, the Pixies, and Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals to headline the Boston Calling Music Festival. Other notable artists who have headlined this festival in the past include The National, Fun., Kendrick Lamar, Modest Mouse, and Lorde. Beck released a single from his not-yet-announced upcoming album On June 15, 2015, Beck released his first single, “Dreams,” off of his upcoming thirteenth studio album. The song, which is  more upbeat and lively than songs from his last album, Morning Phase, was written because Beck was “....trying to make something that would be good to play live.” Additionally, the song was confirmed by developers at EA Sport to appear on popular soccer game FIFA 16!
