Future Islands

Future Islands are a band whose brilliance was alwayshiding in plain sight. One viral momentmight have catapulted them to worldwide recognition, but they were just doing what they alwaysdid – pouring their heart and soul into every moment, and channelling art’s great power tospread love and hope. It was, quite simply, who theyare. Long, hard years on the road, and thesense of constantly traveling away from something, have shaped the band many ways, bothspiritually and physically. Always leaving, neverarriving, the horizon an impossible destination tobe chased but never caught. Future Islands' new albumAs Long As You Areis out now on 4AD.

JOON is an electronic solo project from Maltese songwriter & producer Yasmin Kuymizakis. Her debut album ‘Dream Again’ was released on LA record label Italians Do It Better. The 12 cuts of glacial synth pop shimmer with positive affirmations, heralding a new star in the Italians Do It Better cosmos.

JOON is inspired by dream worlds, mysticism and the supernatural, from her ethereal vocals and celestial synths to her self-directed music videos that take cues from B-movie tropes. Her lyrics are peppered with messages of hope for her listeners, which glide around cushioned beats and woozy layers of electronic sound.
