Donavon Frankenreiter's new album, "The Heart," officially marks the start of the singer-songwriter's second decade as a solo recording artist. It's been over ten years since the release of his self-titled debut, and in that time he has grown, not only as a musician, but also as a man. He's raising a family and nurturing two creative careers-one onstage, one in the waves-but on top of all that, he's still learning what makes him tick. And so, naturally, he named his album after his ticker.

"All these songs are as close to me singing from the heart as I can," says Frankenreiter. "It's a complete record; the songs are intertwined. I had to call it 'The Heart,' that was the theme of the record."
Lisa Bouchelle
Lisa Bouchelle
Lisa Bouchelle is one of those rare artists who can make you laugh out loud one moment, as on her light-hearted duet with John Popper, “Only The Tequila Talkin’,” and have you in tears the next, such as on her moving ballad “Where You Are,” about losing her mother to alcoholism at a young age. She’s been compared to artists such as Jason Mraz and Sheryl Crow, but with nods to classic artists such as Tom Petty and Neil Young.

Lisa’s latest EP, “Lipstick Tomboy,” has over 1.5 million streams on Spotify; was awarded the “Disc of The Day” by tastemaker Robert Oermann at MusicRow; “Highly Recommended” by Goldmine Magazine; and the legendary late syndicated radio host Pete Fornatale said, “Lisa can stand toe-to-toe with any of her songwriter contemporaries.”

Lisa has sung backup for Bruce Springsteen, dueted in concert with Jon Bon Jovi, and has toured with and/or opened for Blues Traveler, Meat Loaf, Bryan Adams, Train, Ingrid Michaelson, Don Felder, America, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jason Mraz, and many others. She also hosts the syndicated TV show “Rock Star Kitchen,” which is seen twice weekly on The Comcast network in the mid-Atlantic region.
