DJ Neil Armstrong
DJ Neil Armstrong
Born & bred in NYC, DJ Neil Armstrong turned his love of music and hip hop culture into a career that has allowed him to play music for the masses all over the world – from small 100 person venues to large scale music festivals with thousands in attendance.

Neil initially gained notoriety for his mixtape projects, which showcased his DJ skills as well as his vast eclectic knowledge of music. These highly regarded mixtapes generated considerable press – most notably in Rolling Stone, Vibe,, Theme, URB and Complex – and they often became the soundtrack of choice for many in the streetwear/fashion/music industry.

The growing audience lead him to work with brands such as adidas, Undefeated and Fruition, which in turn led to working with large scale related industry entities like the NBA, BMW, and VH1 to name a few.

Eventually Neil’s reputation as a turntable musician landed him a spot as Jay-Z’s tour DJ. From 2008-2010 he backed up Mr. Carter on 4 tours around North America, Europe and Africa. Neil held down the turntables for the televised 9/11 tribute at Madison Square Garden, and performed in front of 120,000 plus at the Glastonbury Festival in England. By far the highlight was performing for the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama. This was the 1st time in history turntables and scratching were present for a celebration of this magnitude.

DJ Neil Armstrong is truly an international DJ, one of the few who can say he has performed on 6 continents around the world. As a global music ambassador for adidas he continues on, bringing happiness to the people through music.

Through social media (twitter, instagram, facebook) Neil has found a new way to connect with his audience, sharing his travel experience through the cultural unifier of food. Neil’s travel’s provide him the opportunity to eat a lot of local fair, cuisine and dishes most people don’t get to sample. Neil’s food posts are part enjoyment and part resource, as his feed has become a guide to where you can find good food around the world.
At the nexus of New York City nightlife is Brooklyn-born Patrick Suazo, best known by his stage name: Deemehlow. With over 10 years of experience behind the turntables, Deemehlow has provided the soundtrack for some of the hottest parties in NYC and around the world, spinning for the most iconic brands in fashion, music, nightlife, and beyond.

Brands such as Beats By Dre, Adidas, Opening Ceremony, Sotheby’s, Fader Magazine, Modelo and many others flock to Deemehlow when it’s time to get a crowd together...That is, when he’s not already booked touring the country with Hpnotiq, headlining shows of his own, or popping in on, say, Sway at XM Sirius.

Don’t let his laid-back daytime demeanor fool you- Deemehlow has a gift that few possess: he can get a massive crowd on its feet, dancing. Deemehlow is a jolt of energy behind the turntables, creating playlists that guide partygoers through their night seamlessly, dropping the right track at exactly the right time to keep the party going.

Deemehlow has always stood out from the crowd— and he prefers it that way. The 31 year-old powerhouse has had a near-obsessive knack for DJing since childhood, sitting by his stereo for hours on end to record and create the perfect mix of songs from the radio. And while Deemehlow has come a long way from his first DJ gig- at a hole-in-the-wall lounge in Queens- he still has the same perfectionist attitude and tireless work ethic.

Deemehlow grew up listening to and loving a wide variety of music- and today, his style is hard to pin down. But he operates under one overarching rule: He’ll only play it if it’s genuinely good. “I never just play something because it’s popular- I’ll only play it if I like it.”

And it has to be right for the crowd at the exact moment-Deemehlow has a preternatural knack for being able tune into any crowd’s current mood: “I only play tracks that I know people will respond to and want to move to.” That attitude of authenticity has served him well. Deemehlow’s DJ style is smooth and easy; his sound an open format blend of Hip Hop, R&B and Dance perfectly mixed to get an audience up and moving.

And how did he land on his unconventional stage name? It’s a nickname his childhood friends gave him. Growing up as the only non-Dominican hanging around a mostly Dominican crowd, his friends would call him dímelo, which means talk to me in Spanish. As a joke, they spelled it phonetically. Once he started spinning, the he stuck with it as his DJ name, solidifying his stand-out-from-the-crowd status.

Deemehlow may be the textbook definition of chill, easygoing, and soft-spoken in his daily life— but he’s a dynamo in the DJ booth. Deemehlow knows just what the crowd needs to hear to keep the party at a fever pitch. Music, as Deemehlow knows, can be transformative force, and his goal as a DJ is always the same: to change the emotion in the room and infuse the audience with energy. Deemehlow’s unique taste and style can be tough to pin down- but the result is always seamless.
