After 7 years, 700+ shows, and five award-winning albums, Asbury Park, NJ-based 24 year-old singer/songwriter, Quincy Mumford, is set to release his widely anticipated sixth studio album, in the fall of 2016.

With this upcoming album, Quincy is taking a bold new approach to creating soul music by working with world renowned performer, multi-instrumentalist and producer, Michael Ghegan, who has worked with such established and iconic artists such as Justin Timberlake, Elton John and Andrea Bocelli.

Quincy states, “This record has a fresh sound, with a mix of funk, soul, and pop. This is all in the essence of creating a positive, feel good message.” Quincy and Michael released their first single and songwriting collaboration in January 2016 titled, Helping Hand. This song landed the winning title at The Philadelphia Songwriting Contest.

Quincy released his fifth album Its Only Change in July of 2013. Its Only Change was recorded in Nashville, TN with producer Ken Coomer (Wilco, Uncle Tupelo) and features performances from Jerry Roe (K.D. Lang), David Labruyere (John Mayer) and Aubrey Freed (Black Crowes, Sheryl Crow). Producer Ken Coomer states, “Quincy Mumford is a true artist that can bring raw 70′s-style rock and funk, highlighted with the voice of an old soul. It’s a perfect blend.”

Quincy Mumford and his live band The Reason Why are excited to continue their tireless performance schedule. Whether they are out for a three-day weekend run in the northeast, headlining a packed hometown show, or opening for established acts across the country, they are ready to show the world their new sound. Mumford’s previous tours have found him sharing the stage with acts such as Slightly Stoopid, Rusted Root, moe., Donovan Frankenreiter, Tedeschi Trucks Band and performing at major music festivals like Firefly, The Gathering of the Vibes, and Musikfest.

Optimistic, charismatic, and undeniably genuine, Quincy’s music possesses the same “feel good” attitude that the young man himself does. This forthcoming album produced by Michael Ghegan, establishes Quincy Mumford as an “Artist to Watch” in 2016.
Butchers Blind
Butchers Blind
Butchers Blind formed in 2009 in Bellerose, New York. Pete Mancini, Paul Cianciaruso, Brian Reilly, and Christopher Smith came together through mutual friends and a shared love of music. In 2011, they signed with Paradiddle Records, and released two critically acclaimed LP’s: Play For The Films (2011), and Destination Blues (2013). The albums garnered the band glowing reviews and radio airplay around the world. Constant live shows and regional touring have cemented the band’s reputation as a solid live act. After releasing Thursday Girl b/w Mystery (2014), the band signed with Electric Giant Productions and released A Place in America (2015). The EP made several year-end lists, and saw one review published in My Heart Sings The Harmony, a book by noted rock critic Jason Warburg.
