The Perfect Evening of Rock and Roll
The Perfect Evening of Rock and Roll

Pre-Celebration for the World Premiere of the Coolest Rock and Roll film of the Century!

"The Perfect Age of Rock 'n' Roll is a kick ass, rock 'n' roll movie.
From the incredible soundtrack to the character depictions, it is spot on.”
- Dee Snider June 2011

According to rock ‘n’ roll lore, age 27 is a fateful milestone. From Robert Johnson, Brian Jones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison to Kurt Cobain, all stars we lost at this very age.

World famous rock star Spyder (Kevin Zegers – Transamerica, Frozen) has achieved fame and fortune with a smash hit debut album. This blinding success however, is built on the Faustian pact that capitalized on the genius of his long lost childhood best friend and band mate, Eric Genson (Jason Ritter – NBC’s The Event, Good Dick). Now Spyder retreats to his small hometown after his sophomore effort flops. Reconnecting with Eric after a seven year estrangement, the two recall their youthful ambitions and reexamine the choices they’ve made. Accompanied by the band’s ambitious, fiery manager (Taryn Manning – ABC’s Hawaii 5-0, Hustle & Flow, 8 Mile), the legendary music impresario August West (Peter Fonda – Easy Rider, 3:10 to Yuma) and a raucous crew of musicians, they set off on a cathartic journey along historic Route 66 that brings them closer to each other, their history and their destiny. Fueled by a stellar rock ‘n’ roll soundtrack that includes songs by Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Iggy & The Stooges, Alice in Chains, Muddy Waters, The Violent Femmes, Howlin’ Wolf, Jane’s Addiction, and many more, The Perfect Age of Rock ‘N’ Roll fully captures the energy, rebellion, and thrills of the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle.

The Perfect Age of Rock ‘N’ Roll also stars Lukas Haas, Kelly Lynch, Lauren Holly, Ruby Dee, Billy Dee Williams, Michael K. Williams, James Ransone and Aimee Teegarden.
Sugar Blue
Sugar Blue
One of the foremost electric harpists of the modern era, Grammy winner Sugar Blue was born James Whiting in New York City in 1950.
The son of a singer/dancer who regularly performed at the legendary Apollo Theater, he was given his first harmonica at the age of ten, and by his mid-teens had already performed in the company of Muddy Waters; in the early 1970s he made his first recordings, sitting in on sessions by the likes of Johnny Shines and Louisiana Red. Sugar Blue relocated to Paris in 1976, where he was introduced to the Rolling Stones; he went on to play on the group's LPs Some Girls, Emotional Rescue and Tattoo You, lending his skills to such hits as "Miss You." He also played on jazz dates for Stan Getz and Paul Horn and appeared as with Frank Zappa, Prince, Phish only to name a few...
He launched his solo recording career with Crossroads, followed by Blue Blazes, In Your Eyes and Code Blue. His latest recording effort "Threshold" was released in 2010.
The Tangiers Blues Band
The Tangiers Blues Band
The Tangiers Blues Band was formed in 1998 after guitarist Chris Scianni and bandmate/drummer Dave Borla met photographer/harmonica player Danny Clinch and discovered their mutual love for blues music.

Their first jam session took place on Thanksgiving night that year with other musicians and friends, including Huey from the Fun Lovin’ Criminals, King from Cooley High, Mick Jones from Foreigner and tennis player/guitarist John McEnroe.

The original line-up was formed after that with Chris (guitar), Dave (drums), Danny (harmonica), Huey (lap steel), King (vox and guitar) adding their long time friends Dave Sellar (bass) from Darla Hood and Peter Levin (keys) who had played in various bands in New York City and currently tours with The Blind Boys of Alabama.

The TBB line-up changes from show to show, with a deep rotation of musicians they have known and jammed with for many years, and in many different configurations. In addition, they have many “special guests” who will sit in with them for a night when they are around including G-Love, Phil Lesh, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Charlie Giordano (Bruce Springsteen) and Chris’ father, Joseph Scianni. The line-up on the TBB studio recordings consists of Chris, Danny, Pete, King and Dave Sellars with Jon Graboff (Ryan Adams and The Cardinals) on lap and pedal steel guitars and Mo Roberts (Shemeka Copeland) on drums.
