Tragedy: All Metal Tribute to the Bee Gees & Beyond, has changed the face of music forever. Tragedy takes your favorite Bee Gees, disco and soft-rock classics and reinvents them in a Heavy Metal fashion. The result is aural ecstasy. You may enter the Tragedy experience unaware of your latent appreciation for gooey soft rock or flamboyant metal, but you shall emerge forever humbled by the greatness of Tragedy (and covered in glitter!).
Tragedy has decimated venues like Bowery Ballroom, Brooklyn Bowl and Terminal 5 in
their hometown of NYC, as well as those in far-away lands such as London, Glasgow, Disneyland, Austin, Boston, DC, Tampa and Guilfest (with Motorhead).
Tragedy has released two critically acclaimed albums: We Rock Sweet Balls and Can Do No Wrong and Humbled By Our Greatness. Production for their third, Death to False Disco-Metal, is underway.
“Tragedy manage to dwell in the realm of novelty while far exceeding their worth as a concept . . . the aesthetic is somewhere in between the flamboyance of the disco-era Bee Gees and the flamboyance of mid-eighties hair metal, with some extra flamboyance thrown in for the sake of flamboyance.”
The Pretty Babies are fronted by legendary platinum chanteuse/provocateuse, Tammy Faye
Starlite and feature members from The Aquanettas, Sit N Spin, The Richard Lloyd
Group, and Steve Wynn’s Miracle 3.
A glorious pop-punky-glitter ball- Studio 54-meets-CBGB's night of late '70's decadent delirium!
Mama's Fallen Angels: All Girl Poison Tribute
Mama's Fallen Angels is made up of veteran musicians from NYC's original and tribute scene. Singer/songwriter Meaghan Farrell has been singing in NYC for over 10 years and has been vocally compared to the likes of female rockers like Melissa Etheridge and Pink (and will soon be compared to Bret Michaels!). Kiki Kim (drums) and Nikita Nilsen (bass) were founding members of the world's first and best all-girl tribute to Motley Crue, Girls Girls Girls. Lead guitarist Marron Chaplin has played in Ratt and Misfits tribute bands but now currently fronts her own original band, Dead Rocking Horse. And Allie Dobyns, in a departure from her usual acoustic folk repertoire, will be adding the finishing touches on rhythm guitar. If you're looking for nothin' but a good time, it really don't get better than this...
