The amazingly talented Ms. Lauryn Hill comes to Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on September 18. And whenever she performs live, she just about always drops at least one amazing rendition of someone else’s song. And so today we’re taking a look — and a listen — at her top covers.

“Could You Be Loved” – Bob Marley

Watch Ms. Lauryn Hill take command with this cover of Bob Marley’s “Could You Be Loved” in 2012.

“Feeling Good” – Nina Simone

Ms. Lauryn Hill recently performed her cover of Nina Simone’s “Feeling Good,” which appeared on the compilation Nina Revisited: A Tribute to Nina Simone, released July 10 as a supplement to Netflix’s documentary on the singer, What Happened, Miss Simone, released March 5. “Feeling Good” is one of Hill’s six covers on the compilation.

“Something” – the Beatles

Ms. Lauryn Hill paid tribute to the Beatles with a soulful rendition of their 1969 hit, “Something” on The Late Show with David Letterman.
