RECAP: Erykah Badu at Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on Thursday, July 20

Posted on Monday July 24th in

Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas was in the presence of royalty on Thursday, July 20 when Erykah Badu, the Queen of Neo-Soul, played the venue.

Though she took the stage nearly an hour after expected, fans were still in high spirits when she finally arrived, and the wait was soon forgotten. Donning an extravagant outfit upon her entrance, and encapsulated in a laser pyramid, it was clear that she had complete control over the room. She first thanked everyone for being patient, then launched into an evening of endless jams.

With a killer band and singers backing her, the room was filled with energy. She lead them through her discography, perfectly balancing old and newer hits. Erykah Badu definitely has some loyal and timeless fans, as people still knew every lyric to songs off her Baduizm + Live albums, which have hit the 20th anniversary mark this year.

Swipe through our pics taken by Erik Kabik of Kabik Photo Group to see the insane stage production, outfit changes, and overall excitement that went down at the show.
