Fall Programming Begins at Brooklyn Bowl

Fall programming kicks off with a huge week and six unique shows at Brooklyn Bowl, as detailed below.

Remember, all our shows have a 6:00pm door time, so be sure to come roll, eat, and drink before (and after!) the show.

Rubblebucket is a nine-piece polyrhythmic dance/rock band led by trumpeter Alex Toth and fronted by the alluring vocals of Kalmia Traver. Comparisons have been drawn to Talking Heads, Fela Kuti, Bjork and James Brown, but Rubblebucket’s afro-beat inspired, trip-rock soul experience is beyond classification.

BuzzUniverse features smoking horns and a rock-solid rhythm section. Since 2003, the band has been performing and tearing up clubs and large festivals throughout the northeast and has released three captivating albums.

Based out of San Diego, KDTU began its journey in 1998 after bandleader Karl Denson decided to take a break from his longtime band The Greyboy Allstars which he helped to form five years earlier. GBA had proven themselves as the ultimate party band, spreading their “West Coast Boogaloo” style all over the world and making “Jazz” a dance term again.

Twestival, famous for harnessing the power of social media to bring people together for great causes, is hosting a star-studded event in New York City on Saturday, September 12, 2009, in association with Brooklyn Bowl and Flavorpill, and to benefit CampInteractive.

With stars in abundance, NYC Twestival “Celebrity Bowling” tournament will provide Twestival-goers with an opportunity to bowl with entertainments elite.
